Annalect’s Kristina Spade Dension Named ‘She Runs It’ Award Recipient

She Runs It today announced that ten promising trailblazers in media and marketing have been chosen for the annual She Runs It education loan relief program.

Each winner will receive an award of up to $10,000 to help pay back loans they may have received in pursuit of graduate or undergraduate education and to pursue continuing/advanced education.

“Our organization exists to propel more women into leadership positions at every level of marketing and media, and this program supports that mission by easing the financial burden on women who enter our industry and demonstrate great leadership potential,“ said Lynn Branigan, President & CEO of She Runs It. “She Runs It very much believes in ‘paying it forward’ to help foster growth in young professionals.”

This is the fifth year She Runs It has sponsored the education loan relief program, and marks a total of just over $500,000 donated by the company since the program’s inception. The recipients of this year’s award are:

  • Maggie Gradala – Account Supervisor, FCB Chicago
  • Carlee Jean – Director Worldwide Communications, OMD
  • Claire Pent – Account Supervisor, FCB Chicago
  • Laia Pescetto – Marketing Manager, AudienceScience
  • Candace Queen – Associate Art Director, DigitasLBi
  • Maria-Fernanda Simpson – Content Curator, BC Forward/Facebook
  • Brianna Thobald – Operations Coordinator, IAB
  • Connor Zickgraf – Project Manager-Activations, iHeartMedia

The loan relief recipients received their awards at the annual holiday events, held in New York and also in Chicago, a market into which She Runs It expanded in 2016. The annual events also featured an executive raffle, which allows She Runs It members to win one-on-one mentorship experiences with industry executives.

The 2016 raffle prize list includes several mentoring, coaching and brainstorming sessions with executives at 360i, BBDO, BMO Financial, Business Insider, DigitasLBi, Discover Financial Services, EY, Feeding America, Havas, Leo Burnett, L’Oreal, Mindshare, Mondelez, Spotify, Starcom Worldwide, Symbria, Time Inc. and Xaxis, among others.
