Types and Categories of Information Annalect Collects and Creates
Annalect collects two basic types of information – Personally Identifiable Information (also referred to as PII or personal data) and Non-Personally Identifiable Information (Non-PII) – and creates other Non-PII and aggregate information from the data collected. Personally Identifiable Information is any information used or intended to be used to identify a particular individual, including, but not limited to, name, address, telephone number, email address, financial account number, and government-issued identifier. Annalect collects the following categories of information:
Contact Information. Personally Identifiable Information you voluntarily provide to Annalect including, but not limited to, first name, last name, company, title, phone number, email address, and any other information you voluntarily provide.
Annalect Online Interactions Information. Non-Personally Identifiable Information regarding usage, viewing, and technical data, collected when you visit the Annalect website or open Annalect emails.
Advertising Information. Non-Personally Identifiable Information regarding an advertising campaign gathered during the delivery of online advertising or visits to client advertisers’ websites including log and website data, IP address, browser type, referring URL, operating system, date/time stamps, pages viewed, clicks, conversions, and simple keyword tags.
How Annalect Collects Information
Annalect collects information in three different ways: when consumers voluntarily provide information, through automated means such as cookies, and directly from advertisers or other third parties.
Volunteered. Annalect may collect Contact Information you may provide to Annalect when you subscribe to an email newsletter, request a call back, email Annalect, or otherwise interact with Annalect.
Automated Information Collection. Annalect may collect Advertising Information through technology, including cookies, web beacons, and pixel tags when you visit the online properties of Annalect, advertisers for whom Annalect provides services, or third-party publishers. Annalect uses Aggregate Knowledge’s tracking cookie (agkn.com) for analytics and online behavioral advertising purposes on advertisers’ and publishers’ websites.
Third Parties. Annalect acquires information from advertisers and third parties to supplement the information you provided or that was collected automatically.
The Purposes for Which Annalect Processes Information
Annalect processes the information it collects for the purposes of providing the following services to clients, including those services listed below, as well as for administrative and compliance purposes.
Requested services. Providing consumers with the products and services they request.
Administrative services. Communicating with consumers about their email subscriptions, transactions with us, and inquiries.
Ad Delivery and Reporting. The logging of page views or the collection of other information about a computer or device for the purpose of delivering ads or providing advertising-related services.
Marketing Performance. Providing within and cross channel analytics for advertisers and agencies that diagnose and improve their marketing performance.
Competitive Intelligence. Providing automated competitive intelligence gathering for advertisers and agencies.
Social Intelligence. Providing brand and social analytics for advertisers and agencies that provides a coherent, comprehensive picture of advertisers’ customers’ relationships with their brands.
Media Intelligence. Providing media planning intelligence to advertisers and agencies.
Compliance. Detecting, investigating, and preventing activities that may violate our policies or be illegal.
How Annalect May Share Your Information with Other Companies
Annalect will only share your Personally Identifiable Information with companies not affiliated with Omnicom Media Group Holdings Inc. either (i) with your consent to share Personally Identifiable Information with another unaffiliated company; (ii) in connection with the sale of a business (whether by a sale of assets, equity, by merger or otherwise); (iii) to protect its rights and property and the rights and property of its clients; (iv) to comply with applicable law or legal process; (v) or in other cases if Annalect believes in good faith that disclosure is required by law.
Controls and Choices
Annalect provides you the ability to exercise certain controls and choices regarding Annalect’s collection, use, and sharing of your information. In accordance with applicable laws, you may exercise control over information collected including:
Contact Information. You may change your choices for newsletters by using the choice mechanism within each email from Annalect.
Personally Identifiable Information. In accordance with applicable laws, you may request access to the Personally Identifiable Information Annalect processes, the purposes for such processing, the categories of recipients to whom the data is disclosed, that Annalect amend or delete it, and that Annalect request third parties with whom Annalect has shared the information do the same. Annalect does not intentionally collect, license, or use Personal Information as defined by the COPPA Rule from children under the age of 13. All communications concerning the collection of Personal Information from child-directed sites should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org with “COPPA” in the subject line. Data Security and Integrity
Annalect uses reasonable security measures designed to ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of consumer data, and to protect against unauthorized access to, and unauthorized use or disclosure of such data. While Annalect cannot guarantee that these measures can stop all threats, Annalect believes they provide reasonable protection.
Access and Corrections
To the extent provided by the law of your jurisdiction, you may (i) have the right to access certain personal information we maintain about you and obtain a copy of that information, (ii) update or correct inaccuracies in that information, (iii) object to our use of your personal information, and (iv) delete your personal information from our database. To exercise these rights, please contact us as indicated in the How To Contact Us section of this Online Privacy Notice. To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we may take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to the information. A charge may be applicable before we provide you with a copy of any of your personal information that we maintain.
Some of the personal information we collect about you through the Site will be transferred to countries other than the country in which the information originally was collected. Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information. When we transfer your personal information to other countries, we will protect that information as described in this Online Privacy Notice and will comply with applicable legal requirements.

Annalect retains information collected through our web site as long as necessary to provide you services. We also retain and use this information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Consumers – regardless of where they live – may exercise choice to disallow certain Online Behavioral Advertising (OBA) with respect to a particular browser or device by opting-out by using one of the options at Aggregate Knowledge’s Opt-Out Page here. Please note that Aggregate Knowledge is a third party service provider managing this technology and process. If Annalect were to change service providers in the future, then you may need to follow this process again with such new service provider.
